"For I was...in prison and you visited me."

Matthew 25:35-36

Not Forgotten, Still Loved

Light Beyond Walls

Twice each month, our team visits detention facilities to serve, encourage, and support the people there through faith, compassion, and practical care. Through worship services, prayer, personal connection, and ongoing outreach, we bring hope to men and women facing difficult seasons, reminding them they are not forgotten.

Compassion in Action

Our mission is to serve beyond the walls by offering encouragement, spiritual support, and meaningful human connection while helping meet real needs whenever possible. Every visit is an opportunity to bring light, restore dignity, and remind people that even in hard places, hope still reaches them.

Real Help, Real Care

Many people we meet in detention ask for something simple but deeply needed: encouraging, faith-based literature in their own language. As a multicultural community, we want every person to receive hope in words they can understand. Your donation helps us provide approved Bibles, devotionals, study materials, and uplifting books in multiple languages for detainees who request them most.

Voices of Hope and Gratitude

Behind the Walls, Hope Still Lives

“Many people thought that after losing my case I would stop praying. But the very next morning, I went back to prayer and began thanking God. Every one of your visits, Mrs. Natalie brought hope and strength into detention, and I felt alive again. In a place filled with fear and hopelessness, hope was the only thing that carried us through.Over time, I stopped feeling forgotten. I began believing again that my life still had meaning and a future.”

- Albina R.

"Inside detention, every visit is a major event. Prayer, books, and those who reminded me not to lose hope were my lifelines. People in detention need someone to remind them that life is not over."

- Slava P.

“The hardest part was the waiting. We lived from one small hope to another. What helped me survive was prayer, books, and people who reminded me not to lose hope. Mrs. Natalie visited me right before my final court hearing - freedom or deportation. People inside detention do not just need legal help. They need hope that life is not over."

- Mila S.

“I won my case, and they released me even before the appeal period ended. Every time you spoke during your visits, I listened so carefully because somehow your words always carried answers. Sometimes hope begins with someone simply showing up, praying with you, and reminding you not to give up.”

- Anastasia L.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at detention@newgeneration.online if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Our Detention Ministers visit the imprisoned bi-weekly and bring the liturgy of the word and opportunity for sharing and prayer to those who wish to participate.

The goal is to serve as a symbol of faith and God’s presence for the incarcerated, offering prayer, communion services, Bible studies, and sacramental preparation.

  • Detention (Jail): Short-term, often for people awaiting trial or sentencing.
  • Prison: Long-term, for individuals who have been convicted and sentenced.

Clergy must adhere strictly to all jail/prison policies, including dress codes and rules against bringing in unauthorized items. Consistency and confidentiality are crucial.
